An organization is only as good as the decisions
The Six PL Fundamentals:
Management by Values – An organization is only as good as the decisions it makes.Decision making is an extension of values. In the absence of clearly stated values, team members will react to their own values.Managing by values is the process of continually holding our communication and behaviors accountable to the standards set forth by our collective core values.
System Mentality – This proactive perspective or method of thinking will shed significant insight into the dynamics and relationships that produce the behaviors of systems. This awareness on how impacting one part of the organization simultaneously impacts the whole causes team members to consider the collective effects of their decisions prior to acting.
Personal Mastery – Continuously learning to expand our individual capabilities to achieve the results we want while cultivating a corporate culture that enthusiastically supports all team members in developing themselves towards uncovering and achieving their own individual mission. It is important to recognize that individual’s who do not value personal mastery will not likely value organizational growth and development.
Map of the World – Understanding and taking responsibility for how our “maps” shape our decisions and actions.Recognizing that our internal representations (I/R’s) and our physiology produce our state and that our state unconsciously produces our behaviors.
Shared Vision -- Generating a collective commitment by cultivating shared images of a desired future we seek to create together as well as the ideology and guiding principles designed to guide our steps.
