Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Part-Time

Mastery Level Skill/Ashland Oregon 

The CFO plans, implements, manages and controls all financial and human resource activities of the company. A key member of the Executive Management team, reporting to the owners.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervise Accounting Staff in the following areas:

  • Leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives 
  • Timely and accurate monthly and quarterly reporting and analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization. 
  • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action. 
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek a full range of business solutions. 
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the company 
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities. 
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of Human Resource function of the organization. 
  • Order Entry Processes and timeliness (managing this process as accurate, efficient and timely)
  • Account Receivable (monitor and manage DSO and accuracy of aging in QuickBooks for BWP and

NMP)

  •  Accounts Payable (monitor and manage for accuracy and timeliness of entry into QuickBooks, on-time payments and storage of documents)
  •  Review of Bank Reconciliation
  •  On-time payroll-processing, commission payments, accurate benefit premiums, 401K deductions, and implementation of PTO policy within payroll (system to accurately accrue and adjust when used)
  •  On-time tax filings (payroll, sales, estimated income taxes)
  •  Oversight of Corporate Legal Documents and filings Month-end closing duties
  • Prepaid and deferred revenue tracking/balancing
  • Intercompany reconciliation
  • Journal entries and general ledger analysis to ensure accurate financial statements Preparation of Financial Statement package with analysis
  •  Research and analysis to explain trend variances in financial statements
  • Monitors G&A (General and Administrative) spending
  • Gathers and analyzes information from the general ledger system and from departments.
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information. Assist CFO with financial forecasting by entity and event P&L by events, P&L for apparel division Integration of POS system and apparel division into existing accounting system
  • Setup of UPC Barcodes and inventory in Clover system
  • Preparation of training materials and process Inventory management/validation
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
  • Will assist with implementation of new accounting software in 2017
  • Work daily with accounting assistants to resolve any questions about processes, transaction entry and GL coding

Digital Marketing Director/Manager

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • New Lead Generation Secured By You 
  • Develop and execute ongoing list growing and lead generation strategies.
  • Identify and analyze new business opportunities in existing, adjacent or new markets and businesses.
  • Create a list of new, Lead Sources to target that are fresh and aligned. These can include: aligned strategic partnerships, keynote opportunities, corporate alliances, radio/media bookings, mrkt/sales opportunities, as examples. Does not includes leads directly generated via paid online advertising.
  • Contact decision makers and secure/book aligned opportunities with new Lead Source; manage relationships to ensure qualified leads opt-in. Repurpose lead magnets to target new audiences. Update/customize Email Sequences to nurture/enroll, optimize strategy based on analytics.

    For example, suppose you secure an opportunity to have HuffingtonPost.com post one of my articles. And we put a url to a lead magnet, so we could track these new leads

  • Create social media initiatives and oversee the execution of social media content on platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
  • Track and maintain internal marketing budget
  • Track benchmarks and campaign key performance indicators for social media and email marketing
  • Create Excel reports on marketing
  • Research and contribute presentation of new initiatives for marketing department

Qualifications:  

  • experience in Internet Marketing, campaign generation, and sales,

  • Excellent phone skills, excellent communication, and writing skills - very responsive,
