The art of overcoming objections is one of the most valuable skills you can develop as an entrepreneur, leader, creator, or coach.
Because objections are inevitable.
As you move forward towards manifesting your vision — whether it's building a business, leading a team, launching a product, or creating meaningful change — objections will arise. From prospects, clients, partners. From your body or the voice inside your own head.
They are not barriers to avoid — but portals inviting your next-level becoming.
Objections are not stop signs. They're doorways.
Each one is an opportunity to deepen connection, sharpen clarity, expand influence, and ignite possibility — if you know how to navigate them with curiosity, presence, and precision.
And the bigger your vision, the more likely resistance will meet you on the path.
Let’s Explore Two Forms of Objections:
External Objections — voiced by prospects, clients, partners, or others.
Internal Objections — from within your own body and mind.
Both can be better understood — and both can be alchemized.
External Objections (and What They Reveal)
For most people, "overcoming objections" evokes images of sharing your product, service, offer, or vision — and hearing responses like:
- "I've tried this before."
- "Let me think about it."
- "My schedule's too busy right now."
- "It's too expensive."
- "I need to talk to my spouse."
- "I'm already working with someone else."
Beneath each external objection is a deeper need:
- Safety.
- Certainty.
- Clarity.
- Comfort.
- Connection.
- Control.
Your role isn't to bulldoze the objection.
It's to welcome it. Lean in. Listen. And seek to understand it.
Once you understand, you can discern how best to proceed.
Internal Objections
Even more challenging can be the objections you don't hear aloud.
These are the invisible silent thoughts that sabotage your momentum.
They sound like this:
- "What if it doesn't work?" (Fear of failure)
- "Do I really have what it takes?" (Fear of not being enough)
- "Where do I even start?" (Overwhelm)
- "Is this really worth it?" (Doubt)
- "I'm too burnt out to take on more." (Exhaustion)
- "I'm fine where I am." (Complacency disguised as comfort)
Left unexamined, these inner objections will quietly derail your soul’s purpose and vision.
The Neuroscience of Resistance
Here's part of what's happening in your brain during moments of objection:
When resistance arises, the amygdala activates — your brain's fear center. This triggers contraction, tunnel vision, and an urgent need to protect.
But when you shift into curiosity, a phenomenal neurological alchemy occurs.

The prefrontal cortex engages.
Clarity returns. Creativity expands. Possibility emerges.
You move from reaction to response. From fear to flow.
How to Alchemize External Objections
The process begins with awareness, curiosity, and rapport.
Instead of pushing back when someone objects, lean in.
Create space for them to share more.
Listen with sensory acuity — notice their body language, tone, energy.
Then ask questions that illuminate what's beneath the surface:
"What do you truly want in this area of your life?"
This orients attention toward purpose and vision.
"What has prevented you from having that... up until now?"
This opens the door to honest communication about their real challenges and concerns.
"If there was a new way to achieve what you want (without what's been holding you back) would you be open to exploring it?"
This activates new possibilities and helps them see the transformation available now.
Guide them into the felt experience of having what they desire.
These are invitations to share more deeply, authentically.
When asked from genuine curiosity, they inspire resonance.
For example, someone may say: "I just don't have the time."
You could respond with:
- "If time weren't a factor, would this be something you want?"
- "What would it mean to resolve this challenge in the next 3 months?"
- "What would it cost you to stay where you are?"
You are not convincing. You are illuminating. Guiding.
Overcoming Internal Objections
The conversation with yourself is often the most challenging.
When a part of you says, "I'm not ready" or "What if it doesn’t work?" — that's not weakness. That's a protective mechanism trying to keep you safe.
On day two of the upcoming Manifest Your Vision Challenge, I’ll guide you to identify and transform one internal objection that’s been blocking the manifestation of your vision.
In the meantime, here's how to start working with internal objections:
- Acknowledge the part that objects
"Recognize there's a part of me that doesn't want to move forward."
- Ask what it's protecting you from.
"What are you trying to do for me?"
- Honor its positive intention.
"Thank you for wanting to protect me."
- Offer it a new role.
"What if you supported me in moving forward with discernment and wisdom?"
- Integrate and move forward.
"I'm taking you with me — into aligned, focused action."
When resistance is met with presence, understanding, and solutions it begins dissolving.
A Story: From Resistance to Resonance
I was on tour with Tony Robbins in Canada. After my training, I made an offer for our signature courses. A man approached me with an objection:
"I love your programs, but I already signed up for a full year of Tony Robbins courses. My schedule is fully committed."
I leaned in, and curiously asked:
"What inspired you to sign up for Tony's programs?"
“What specific result do you want? What’s your ultimate outcome?”
"What's something that, if transformed, would be a game-changer for you?"
He shared his vision. His energy opened. His posture softened.
Then I reflected:
"Tony's events are amazing — but you'll be in a sea of thousands. In my course, I'll get to know you personally. I'll know your goals, your vision. You won't just receive tools — you'll receive direct, personalized guidance that leads you to major breakthroughs and quantum leaps."
As we chatted, I watched the shift happen in real time.
His shoulders relaxed. He leaned in closer. He smiled.
Expansion replaced contraction.
He enrolled — and upleveled his entire business and life.
Watch him share how he's received 300X ROI on his investment…
Prepare to Overcome. Prepare to Manifest.
As you move forward to manifest your vision, know this:
Objections will arise.
They are not indicators to stop.
They are invitations to prepare, grow, and charge forward.
Write down the objections you expect to encounter.
Practice stepping into the other person's perspective.
Speak the objection in their voice. Explore it from the inside out.
Strategic mental rehearsal works wonders.
Rehearse in a state of presence, empathy, and deep understanding.
Ask yourself: On a scale of 0–10, how equipped am I to truly understand and overcome the objections that arise on my journey to manifest my vision?
Now, let’s raise that number.
