What do I mean?

Here’s a story that contains the Foundation for Achieving Outstanding Results even if you don’t know how.

In the early days of my business (like 18 years ago), my friend Bill called me up on a Tuesday and said, “Whatcha doin’ this weekend?”

“Just chilling, why?” I asked.

He said, “I have an opportunity for you to be the keynote presenter at an annual convention this Saturday. Their speaker canceled at the last minute.”

“Give me the details,” I said.

He shared with me about the company; the event was in Dallas. I’d be speaking for 60 minutes. He said, “They’ll fly you and your assistant out, pay all expenses, but they only have a $5,000 budget for the speaker’s fee (which was less than my fee, but I listened). “It’s a wonderful audience,” he said. “You’ll love them and they’ll love you. I highly recommend you do it.” He continued. “You can sell whatever you want onstage. Just pay me 10% of your sales for putting the deal together.”

Then Bill asked, “whatcha gonna sell?”

“My live transformational event: Supreme Influence," I said.

“No!” Bill said, “you have to sell a product, like a multimedia set or something in the $200-$300 range.” 

“I don’t have a multimedia product?!” I said.

“Niurka, if you don’t have a product to sell, just create one,” he said.

“There’s no way I’m gonna create a multimedia product by Saturday!” I said.

“Hmm . . .” he persisted. “Sounds like a limiting belief. That’s not the Niurka I know.”

Got to love when your friends throw your own material back in your face, right?! 

(Btw, “limiting beliefs” are one of the main mental constructs that block people, and most don’t even realize it!”)

“Listen Bill,” I said. “There’s no way I’m going to sell a product unless it’s excellent.”

“Just create a flyer and a prototype,” he said. “Let them know it’s fresh off the press. You’ll deliver it in 30 days. I’ve seen you do harder things in less time. You can do it; you’re a rockstar!”

Part of me thought, “this is crazy!” but the deeper, wiser me said, do it.

I agreed; we hung up the phone.

I called my operations manager and explained our mission -- my transformational teachings in a multimedia set with videos, audios, and a workbook delivered in 30 days or less. 

“In 30 days!!??” asked my operations manager with a wide-eyed chuckle. You know that look someone gives you when they think you’re nuts? I got that look on steroids. 

“Uhh, okay boss. What’s the title of this new product?” he asked.

I thought to myself, if I could give anything to people, what would I give?

The words: “Faith & Gratitude” flashed in my mind like an aurora.

These superintelligences had profoundly healed and transformed my own life. Until this moment, I hadn’t thought of turning them into a digital product! 

Faith is the transcendence of doubt and…

Gratitude is living in the awareness and appreciation of the infinite abundance flowing in, as, and through all existence, which activates even more abundant possibilities to flow into your life. 

The decision was made!

I flew to Dallas and was greeted at the airport by my driver, a man in cowboy boots, a ten-gallon hat, and a silver horseshoe–buckled belt holding up his blue Levi jeans. “Howdy, Ms. Niurka. Pleasure to make your acquaintance. We’re all excited to hear you speak,” he said.

“Thanks, I’m excited to be here,” I smiled. 🙂

I arrived at the conference with my homemade prototype in hand, which kinda looked okay . . . at a distance.

Backstage, I silently declared an affirmative prayer.

The owner of the company introduced me. I entered the stage, and poured my heart and soul into my presentation. 

At the end, I offered my soon-to-be-fresh-off-the-press multi-media set: The Powers of Faith & Gratitude. On the spot, I sold over $60,000 of this not-yet-created product.

I left Texas in awe. 

Since then, we’ve sold millions of dollars of Faith & Gratitude all over the world, and I cherish the stories of the profound impact it’s had on people’s lives.

Bill was summoning a greater, more courageous and capable part of myself to come forth. I was receptive to the call. The question is...are you receptive to the call?
